Boy Scout Troop 475
Boy Scout Troop 475 has been in active in Streetsboro for the last 11 years. We currently have 30 Scouts registered in our troop. We meet every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Our troop has held several events (Spaghetti Dinner, Pancake Breakfast and Mother’s Day Flower Sale) to help support the troop, Scouts who wish to go to Summer Camp and those less fortunate in our Community. Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys 11 through 17 designed to achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster. (Boys also may become Boy Scouts if they have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old.)
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
If you are interested in seeing what the Boy Scouts are all about, stop by Wednesday evening.
Scout Oath:
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law:
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent.
