blue christmas

A time of reflection, prayer, and hope
for those who are hurting.
You Are Not Alone This Christmas
While the world sings songs of cheer and celebration, many carry grief, loneliness, anxiety, or heartache through the holiday season.
Blue Christmas is a quiet worship experience designed especially for those who find this time of year difficult --
those grieving loved ones, struggling with illness, facing depression, or walking through seasons of loss.
This service creates sacred space to acknowledge pain, to breathe, and to encounter God’s gentle presence in the midst of sorrow.
When and where
📅 Sunday, December 14
🕒 3:00 – 4:00 PM
📍 Streetsboro United Methodist Church
A reflective service including:
  • Scripture readings focused on comfort and hope
  • Guided prayer and moments of silence
  • Soft music and candle lighting
  • A gentle, peaceful environment for reflection
All are welcome. Come as you are.
Why a Blue Christmas Service?
Not everyone experiences the holidays as a time of joy. For some, this season highlights what has been lost — loved ones, relationships, health, stability, or peace. Blue Christmas acknowledges the reality of this pain while offering the promise that God draws near to the brokenhearted.
This is not a service of forced happiness, but one of honesty, compassion, and deep spiritual comfort.
If you or someone you love is struggling this season, we invite you to join us. Let this sacred time be a gentle step toward healing, connection, and the reminder that even in darkness, light still shines.
