Streetsboro community pantry
COMMUNITY PANTRY
The Streetsboro community pantry is a non-profit organization affiliated with Streetsboro united Methodist church, St. Joan of Arc catholic Church, the chapel at tinker's creek and the akron-canton regional food bank. |
ITEMS ALWAYS NEEDED: Peanut butter, tuna, canned fruit; canned vegetables; soup; condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and salad dressings; cereals; cake or brownie mixes; coffee.
Also needed are the following personal care items: Shampoo, bar soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and laundry detergent. Monetary donations are just as important: For every $1 that is donated, the Pantry can purchase from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, food that would cost $4 retail. Even with local business and household donations, we have to purchase many items at local retailers. |
about us AND HOW TO HELP:
We’re an all- volunteer agency whose people help in many ways. In order to function, the Streetsboro Community Pantry depends entirely upon donations of food, time, and money from the Streetsboro community and surrounding area. We have been blessed with support from our 3 sponsoring churches and the community as a whole. Streetsboro City Schools have holiday food drives; the Streetsboro Police Department’s Fill-A-Cruiser campaign; and the USPS Stamp Out Hunger drive all provide much needed support. We are always in need of assistance: volunteers, financial contributions and food donations. Call the pantry for more information.
